Membership

There are over 100 members, current subscription being £20 per individual. Membership is not available to those under 18 years of age. Members are fully covered by our Civil Liability insurance policy. Visitors are welcome and may, under this policy, walk with us for TWO walks only (currently unavailable due to Covid restrictions - see below for current guidelines.) If they then wish to continue, we expect entrance into full membership by payment of the annual subscription to the Treasurer. We are members of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure safety, each person takes part entirely at their own risk. Neither the club nor its members can be held responsible for loss, injury or damage, howsoever sustained. Each individual MUST come properly equipped for outdoor activity. Walking boots are ESSENTIAL. Clothing needs to be warm and water and windproof. Bring a rucksack, packed lunch, hot drink and water on all walks.
It is also advisable that members should have an ICE number on their mobile and/or ICE details in their rucksack.
PLEASE do not bring a dog-we often walk in sheep country and wish to maintain good relations with the farming community.

Due to covid-19 we ask that members adhere to the following new guidelines:
- You MUST be a fully paid-up member of the club to be able to participate in our organised walks.

- You must NOT participate in a walk if you are feeling unwell for whatever reason.
- You must follow strict safe- distancing rules.

- You must carry your own hand-sanitiser, face mask and basic first aid kit ( eg plasters, medi-wipes, support bandage).
- You must not turn up for a walk unless you have pre-booked - currently there is a max limit of 15 people who can participate (at leaders discretion).
-
If you show any symptoms within 14 days of a walk then please let the appropriate walk leader(s) know.
